Role Overview:
\n<\/strong>The Business Development Manager is responsible for leading and managing the product sales function within the company. The job holder plays a key role in driving sales revenue, developing and executing sales strategies, building strong customer relationships, and managing a team of sales professionals.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

Key Responsibilities:
\n<\/strong>\u2022 Develop and implement the overall sales strategy for the product\u2019s services to achieve revenue targets and business objectives.
\n\u2022 Identify market opportunities and potential clients to expand the customer base.
\n\u2022 Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer demands to inform sales strategies and tactics.
\n\u2022 Set sales targets, create sales plans, and monitor progress against targets.
\n\u2022 Lead the identification and pursuit of new business opportunities, including key accounts and strategic partnerships.
\n\u2022 Develop and maintain relationships with key customers, industry stakeholders, and partners to drive business growth.
\n\u2022 Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging trends and opportunities in the ocean freight industry.
\n\u2022 Collaborate with internal teams to develop customized solutions that meet customer needs.
\n\u2022 Recruit, train, develop, and manage a high-performing sales team.
\n\u2022 Provide guidance, coaching, and performance feedback to the sales team members.
\n\u2022 Set individual sales targets, monitor performance, and provide regular sales reports to senior management.
\n\u2022 Foster a positive and motivating work environment that encourages teamwork and collaboration.
\n\u2022 Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers to understand their needs and provide exceptional service.
\n\u2022 Identify customer pain points and develop solutions to address them.
\n\u2022 Conduct regular customer visits and business reviews to deepen relationships and identify upselling or cross-selling opportunities.
\n\u2022 Collaborate with other departments, such as operations and customer service, to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction.
\n\u2022 Track and analyze sales performance data, including revenue, market share, and customer acquisition.
\n\u2022 Prepare sales forecasts, and sales reports, and present them to senior management.
\n\u2022 Provide insights and recommendations to enhance sales performance and drive continuous improvement.
\n\u2022 Lead contract negotiations with customers to secure profitable business agreements.
\n\u2022 Develop pricing strategies and proposals based on market trends, competition, and cost considerations.
\n\u2022 Ensure compliance with pricing guidelines and company policies.

\n\u2022 Strong knowledge of the Product\u2019s services, industry trends, and market dynamics.
\n\u2022 Proficiency in English (written and verbal). Additional languages may be advantageous.
\n\u2022 Fluency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) and general internet navigation and research skills
