Role Overview:
As a Customer Service Executive specializing in air freight (export & import), you will be the primary point of contact for clients, coordinating international shipments and ensuring smooth end-to-end logistics operations. This role requires strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced logistics environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Air Export Operations
• Manage customer bookings and coordinate air export shipments with airlines and agents.
• Prepare, review, and issue all required export documents such as Air Waybills (AWB), Commercial Invoices, and Packing Lists.
• Liaise with operations and warehouse teams to ensure timely pickup, cargo handling, and delivery to airline terminals.
• Monitor export shipment status and provide proactive updates to customers.
• Handle any exceptions or delays, ensuring effective problem resolution.
Air Import Operations
• Track and coordinate incoming air shipments with overseas agents and airlines.
• Verify and process import documentation including Arrival Notices, Delivery Orders, and Customs documents.
• Coordinate with customs brokers to ensure timely clearance of inbound shipments.
• Communicate with customers regarding shipment arrivals, document requirements, and delivery arrangements.
• Schedule last-mile delivery in coordination with internal transport teams.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, International Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
• 5 years of experience in air freight forwarding, import/export operations, or customer service in the logistics sector.
• Strong knowledge of international air freight procedures, Incoterms, and customs regulations.
• Familiarity with logistics software and booking platforms (e.g., CargoWise, SAP, or equivalent systems).
• Proficiency in English (spoken and written); additional languages are a plus.
• Excellent organizational, multitasking, and communication skills.
• Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
