More than 300 customers and business leaders join senior global leadership as the company marks eight years of growth and outlines its next phase in India<\/strong>
\nINDIA, 12 September 2026 \u2013 ISS Global Forwarding (ISS GF), the Dubai-headquartered international freight forwarding and logistics solutions provider, reaffirmed India\u2019s strategic importance to its global growth agenda at \u201cMoving Forward Together,\u201d its strategic customer event in India, attended by more than 300 customers, business leaders and stakeholders.
\nHeld as ISS Global Forwarding marks its eighth anniversary, the event brought together key customers and senior leadership to discuss India\u2019s expanding role in global trade, evolving supply-chain requirements and opportunities to deepen partnerships as the country strengthens its position as a manufacturing and trading hub.
\nSenior leadership attending the event included Mr. Enver Moretti, Group Chief Executive Officer; Mr. Magesh Ganesan, Global Chief Commercial Officer; Mr. Melvin Chang, Group Chief Financial Officer; and Mr. Rahul Bhowmick, Country Manager \u2013 India.
\nDuring a press conference held alongside the event, the leadership team outlined the company\u2019s ambitions for India, its response to major supply-chain disruptions and the importance of customer relationships, scale, people and continued investment in shaping its next phase of growth.<\/p>\n

India positioned as a key growth market<\/h3>\n

India has developed into one of ISS Global Forwarding\u2019s most important markets since the company was established in 2018.
\nThe India business expects to close 2026 at approximately 120,000 TEUs of ocean freight, while air freight volumes are expected to reach approximately 18 million kilograms.
\nThe performance reflects sustained investment in local capabilities, trade-lane development, people, technology and customer relationships, alongside increasing demand for more complex logistics solutions.
\nMr. Enver Moretti, Group CEO, ISS Global Forwarding, said India would continue to play a central role in the company\u2019s long-term strategy.
\n\u201cIndia is one of the major assets that our company is focusing on. From the beginning, we have put a lot of energy and investment into creating what we have today. India, together with China, is leading much of the Asia-Pacific business across Africa, the Middle East, Europe and America.\u201d
\nMr. Moretti also highlighted the growing importance of intra-Asia trade.
\n\u201cI believe the biggest business available today is the intra-Asia business \u2014 the trade between countries in Asia-Pacific. The two engines are China and India. That is why we will continue to focus and continue to invest in order to grow our business.\u201d
\nHe added:
\n\u201cOur aim is to become one of the leading companies in India for freight forwarding. We have a good team, and I believe that in the next two to three years, we will reach where we want to be.\u201d<\/p>\n

Customer understanding, scale and people drive differentiation<\/h3>\n

ISS Global Forwarding\u2019s growth in India has been supported by a deliberate focus on building scale while remaining close to customers and their operational requirements.
\nMr. Rahul Bhowmick, Country Manager \u2013 India, ISS Global Forwarding, said understanding customers and responding with practical solutions had been central to the company\u2019s differentiation in a highly competitive market.
\n\u201cWhat has made the difference here is that we understood the customer. We listen to the customer and do what the customer needs. When there is a crisis, a shipment problem or any operational issue, the difference is made by the forwarder who stands in front of the customer with a solution.\u201d
\nThe company has also focused on building volumes and scale across its India operations, strengthening its ability to work with carriers and service providers and translate that position into improved customer solutions.
\nMr. Bhowmick said:
\n\u201cFrom day one, it was not only about profit; it was about building volumes and building scale. That scale gives us leverage to get better services from our vendors, and that translates into better service for our clients.\u201d
\nTechnology has supported that growth through greater shipment visibility, track and trace, control-tower capabilities, customer reporting and automation across selected operational processes. However, Mr. Bhowmick stressed that digitalisation must continue to complement the human expertise at the centre of freight forwarding.
\n\u201cTechnology has been an enabler for us without taking away the human touch. In our business, the human element and skill play a major role. While we talk about productivity, we do not take shortcuts when it comes to delivering that human touch in the client relationship.\u201d
\nThe India leadership also highlighted the depth of expertise within the business, with the team bringing approximately 100 years of collective industry experience.<\/p>\n

Resilience strengthening long-term partnerships<\/h3>\n

ISS Global Forwarding\u2019s leadership identified major global supply-chain disruptions as defining moments in the company\u2019s eight-year journey.
\nThe COVID-era disruption and more recent instability affecting international trade corridors created significant challenges around capacity, routing, lead times and costs.
\nMr. Moretti said the company\u2019s priority during these periods had been to maintain customer supply chains through alternative solutions.
\n\u201cFinding alternative routes and offering customers alternative solutions was difficult, but we managed to achieve that. We were present to serve our customers during this difficult time, and we believe that will continue to strengthen our partnerships in the future.\u201d
\nHe added that long-term success in freight forwarding ultimately depends on relationships and trust.
\n\u201cEverybody can be competitive, everybody can offer a price and everybody can buy freight. But the key thing in this industry is the relationship and the trust that you establish between the company and your customer.\u201d
\nMr. Magesh Ganesan, Global Chief Commercial Officer, ISS Global Forwarding, reinforced the importance of long-term partnerships.
\n\u201cIt is the trust that we have earned over a period of time. Through thick and thin, we have stood by our clients. There have been times when customers were struggling and facing significant costs, and we stood by them. Those things pay dividends in the long run.\u201d
\nMr. Ganesan added:
\n\u201cAs we say, it is a partnership; it is not just a customer for us. In our business, if you can build trust, you are already halfway there.\u201d
\nISS Global Forwarding sees further opportunities across renewable energy, manufacturing, industrial and project logistics, oil and gas and FMCG, particularly where customers require end-to-end solutions across challenging operating environments or complex supply chains.<\/p>\n

Investing behind the next phase of growth<\/h3>\n

As ISS Global Forwarding continues to expand in India, the company is focused on ensuring growth is supported by the right organisational capabilities, people, systems and investment.
\nMr. Melvin Chang, Group Chief Financial Officer, ISS Global Forwarding, highlighted the importance of building for the long term.
\n\u201cFrom the beginning, the focus has been on building volumes and building scale. As we continue to grow, we also need to continue investing in the organisation and the capabilities that support that growth.\u201d
\nThe approach reflects ISS Global Forwarding\u2019s intention to create a scalable operating platform capable of supporting increasing freight volumes and more sophisticated customer requirements.<\/p>\n

The theme of the customer event \u2014 \u201cMoving Forward Together\u201d \u2014 reflected ISS Global Forwarding\u2019s approach to growth in India: developing its business alongside customers and strengthening partnerships as their supply chains evolve.
\nWith more than 300 customers and stakeholders gathered at the event, ISS Global Forwarding used the occasion to mark eight years of growth while reinforcing its long-term commitment to the Indian market.
\nSupported by expected 2026 volumes of 120,000 TEUs of ocean freight and approximately 18 million kilograms of air freight, the company enters its next phase in India with a clear focus on customer partnerships, sustainable scale, operational resilience and increasingly complex logistics solutions.
\nFor Mr. Moretti, the company\u2019s eighth anniversary also provided perspective on the pace at which ISS Global Forwarding has developed since its establishment.
\nAsked during the press conference what achievement from the company\u2019s first eight years made him most proud, Mr. Moretti concluded:
\n\u201cIn eight years, we almost achieved what a company of 160 years had achieved before they were sold to another multinational.\u201d<\/p>\n
