Role Overview:
\n<\/strong>In this role you will be responsible for handling vendor invoices, processing payments, and ensuring accurate and timely recording of financial transactions. You will work closely with internal departments, vendors, and finance teams to maintain strong vendor relationships and ensure efficient and accurate financial operations.<\/span><\/p>\n

Key Responsibilities:
\n<\/strong>\u2022 Enter and code invoices into the accounting system for processing.
\n\u2022 Prepare payment batches and schedules based on approved invoices and payment terms.
\n\u2022 Coordinate with finance teams to ensure sufficient funds are available for timely payment processing.
\n\u2022 Process payments through electronic systems.
\n\u2022 Maintain vendor master data, including accurate vendor information, payment terms, and contact details.
\n\u2022 Respond to vendor inquiries, resolve payment discrepancies, and address vendor concerns in a timely manner.
\n\u2022 Collaborate with purchasing and procurement teams to resolve vendor-related issues and optimize vendor relationships.
\n\u2022 Review employee expense reports for compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.
\n\u2022 Ensure accurate and up-to-date recording of accounts payable transactions in the accounting system.
\n\u2022 Maintain proper documentation and filing systems for easy retrieval and audit purposes.
\n\u2022 Assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes, including accruals, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
\n\u2022 Adhere to internal controls, accounting policies, and regulatory requirements related to accounts payable.
\n\u2022 Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
\n\u2022 Identify opportunities for process improvement within the accounts payable function and propose solutions to streamline workflows and enhance efficiency.<\/span><\/p>\n

Requirements:
\n<\/strong>\u2022 Matric (essential), Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fields (advantageous)
\n\u2022 Minimum 5-10 years\u2019 experience in accounts payable or similar role
\n\u2022 Strong reconciliation skills
\n\u2022 Fluency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) and general internet navigation and research skills.
