India has moved rapidly from a growth market to a significant contributor within ISS Global Forwarding’s global network. By the end of 2026, the business is expected to handle approximately 120,000 TEUs of ocean freight and 18 million kilograms of air freight — giving the India operation greater scale across both procurement and customer solutions.
That trajectory set the context for “Moving Forward Together,” a strategic engagement in India that brought together global leadership, the India management team, customers, business partners and members of the Indian shipping and logistics media.
The programme included a press conference with Mr. Enver Moretti, Group CEO; Mr. Magesh Ganesan, Global CCO; Mr. Melvin Chang, Group CFO; and Mr. Rahul Bhowmick, Country Manager – India, followed by a customer event attended by more than 300 customers, business leaders and stakeholders.
The press discussion looked at India’s place within ISS GF’s broader global strategy, including the increasing relevance of intra-Asia trade and the role of India as an important growth engine across Asia-Pacific.
Mr. Enver Moretti, Group CEO, said, “India is one of the major assets that our company is focusing on. From the beginning, we have put a lot of energy and investment into creating what we have today. India, together with China, is leading much of the Asia-Pacific business across Africa, the Middle East, Europe and America.”
Growth in India has been supported not only by increasing volumes, but also by deliberate investment in local capability, trade-lane development, technology and people. At market level, differentiation increasingly comes down to how effectively that capability is translated into solutions when something goes wrong.

Mr. Rahul Bhowmick, Country Manager – India, said, “What has made the difference here is that we understood the customer. We listen to the customer and do what the customer needs. When there is a crisis, a shipment problem or any operational issue, the difference is made by the forwarder who stands in front of the customer with a solution.”
Higher volumes have also strengthened ISS GF’s procurement position across both ocean and air freight, supporting more competitive rates, capacity and space commitments, routing options and more resilient freight solutions for customers. Technology is supporting this growth through shipment visibility, track and trace, control-tower capabilities, customer reporting and automation across operational processes.

The discussion also turned to the periods of disruption that have shaped the company’s eight-year journey. From COVID-era constraints to more recent instability across international trade corridors, maintaining customer supply chains has often required alternative routing, faster decisions and closer collaboration.
For Mr. Magesh Ganesan, Global CCO, those moments have also tested the strength of commercial relationships: “It is the trust that we have earned over a period of time. Through thick and thin, we have stood by our clients. There have been times when customers were struggling and facing significant costs, and we stood by them. Those things pay dividends in the long run.”

The next phase of growth will require the supporting organisation to scale with the business — across people, systems, operating capability and investment.
Mr. Melvin Chang, Group CFO, said, “From the beginning, the focus has been on building volumes and building scale. As we continue to grow, we also need to continue investing in the organisation and the capabilities that support that growth.”
The press conference was followed by the Moving Forward Together customer event, providing an opportunity for leadership and the India team to engage directly with customers and reinforce the role of long-term partnership as supply chains continue to evolve.
Looking ahead, ISS GF sees further opportunities in India across renewable energy, manufacturing, industrial and project logistics, oil and gas, and FMCG, particularly where customers require end-to-end solutions across complex or challenging operating environments.
Together, the press engagement and customer event captured the broader direction of ISS GF’s India business: building scale, deepening customer relationships and investing in the capabilities needed to support the next phase of growth.
