For a leading electrical equipment manufacturer supplying Saudi Arabia’s national electricity sector, the business challenge was clear: critical power infrastructure cargo had to reach its final destination with control, despite shifting routing conditions, limited receiving windows, and the need for interim storage.
With 48 x 40HQ containers of load-break switches and remote terminal units moving from Qingdao, China to Riyadh, the shipment required coordination beyond standard freight execution.
As the original routing plan became difficult to execute, ISS Global Forwarding worked closely with the customer to keep the shipment aligned with the final delivery requirement.

The consignee’s warehouse acceptance schedule during Ramadan added another layer of complexity, as the cargo had to be stored before final delivery. ISS GF arranged warehousing support across key locations in KSA, allowing the cargo to be held safely and released in line with the receiving schedule.
The final delivery stage is where ISS GF’s operational expertise came into sharper focus. The consignee had requested six pallets per 12-metre flatbed to support safe and practical unloading at site. The ISS GF team reviewed the cargo dimensions, handling requirements, and loading configuration, and developed a safer, more efficient plan that allowed seven pallets per truck without compromising unloading feasibility. This improved truck utilisation, reduced the number of trips required, and supported a more controlled delivery.
This operation reflects how ISS GF’s value lies not only in moving cargo, but in applying practical logistics intelligence at every stage. Through safe load planning, warehousing flexibility, and trip optimisation, the team helped protect delivery continuity for critical power infrastructure cargo – reinforcing ISS GF’s role as a partner that brings operational discipline and smarter execution to complex supply chains.
