Role Overview:
The Business Development Manager is responsible for supporting the commercial growth of Freight Forwarding business by bringing new customers on board and additional business from existing customers whilst managing multiple relationships internally and externally.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement business development strategies to achieve the company’s sales goals and objectives.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities by prospecting, qualifying, and closing deals.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with other departments, including sales, operations, and finance, to ensure seamless customer experience.
• Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify business opportunities.
• Prepare and present proposals to clients that align with their business needs and objectives.
• Participate in industry events and conferences to promote the company and build relationships with potential clients.
• Prepare and present business development reports to senior management on a regular basis.

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, in a related field. An advanced degree is a plus.
• Strong experience in freight forwarding, preferably in a managerial role within the freight forwarding or logistics industry.
• Strong knowledge of international ocean freight regulations, customs procedures, and industry best practices.
• Proficiency in English (written and verbal). Additional languages may be advantageous.
• Fluency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) and general internet navigation and research skills.
