Role Overview:
Support the commercial growth of the Freight Forwarding business by bringing new customers on board and additional business from existing customers, whilst managing multiple relationships internally and externally.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement business development strategies to achieve the company’s sales goals and objectives.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities by prospecting, qualifying, and closing deals.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with other departments, including sales, operations, and finance, to ensure a seamless customer experience.
• Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify business opportunities.
• Prepare and present proposals to clients that align with their business needs and objectives.
• Participate in industry events and conferences to promote the company and build relationships with potential clients.
• Prepare and present business development reports to senior management on a regular basis.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, in a related field. An advanced degree is a plus.
• Strong experience in sales within the freight forwarding or logistics industry.
• Fluency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) and general internet navigation and research skills.
