To absorb a 160% surge in air export shipments caused by regional ocean freight disruptions, ISS Global Forwarding deployed Jambo AI, its proprietary agentic AI platform. By automating data extraction across more than 100 fields from incoming control emails directly into export workflows and MAWB preparation, the solution eliminated manual entry, preserved data integrity, and enabled the team to meet door-to-door SLAs and invoicing KPIs seamlessly.

For customers navigating continued geopolitical disruption across the GCC, complexity is already part of the operating environment. The last thing they need is for that complexity to spill into the way they work with their logistics partner.

That principle sits at the heart of ISS Global Forwarding’s mission to be easy to do business with – and it is also driving how the company is applying technology across its operations.

One example is Jambo AI, ISS Global Forwarding’s in-house agentic AI solution supporting air export operations for one of its largest aviation customers.

With key ocean freight routes out of the Gulf continuing to face disruption, cargo that would ordinarily move by sea increasingly shifted to air freight, placing additional pressure on export operations. Against this backdrop, the number of shipments processed by the ISS GF team increased by approximately 160% between May and August.

The operational reality behind that increase was substantial. Every shipment requires the processing of more than 100 data fields, alongside five sub-tables containing multiple fields and rows of information. Execution also involved several manual touchpoints, from file opening in our Transport Management System, and airline booking to export documentation and MAWB preparation

Jambo AI changed how that workload could be managed. The solution recognizes shipment data from incoming ISS GF Control Tower emails, extracts the relevant information and reuses it across subsequent air export workflows – reducing repetitive data entry and manual intervention.

For the operations team, this has meant faster processing, fewer manual touches, stronger data integrity, improved productivity and greater capacity to absorb the surge in volumes.

For the customer, the outcome was much simpler: business continued as usual. Despite the significant increase in shipments, ISS Global Forwarding continued to meet its door-to-door SLA and invoicing KPI, allowing the customer to scale its activity without additional complexity in the way it worked with ISS GF.

It is a practical example of how ISS Global Forwarding is using technology not simply to automate processes, but to strengthen operational resilience – giving its teams the capacity to respond when market conditions change, while giving customers the operational muscle they need to scale business. Ultimately, the technology works in the background, so the customer experience remains consistent, reliable and easy.
