Role Overview:
The Ocean Pricing Manager will oversee and develop pricing strategies for ocean freight services, ensuring competitiveness and alignment with global procurement strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
• Strategic Leadership: Lead a team in executing the global procurement strategy for ocean freight, including managing allocated capacity and monitoring carrier invoicing.
• Pricing Development: Develop and define internal local rates and ensure alignment with globally set rates and guidelines.
• Rate Management: Handle rate inquiries, tenders, and RFQs, ensuring competitive pricing and successful business acquisition.
• Negotiations: Participate in contract and price negotiations with carriers and subcontractors to achieve optimal terms and conditions.
• Market Optimization: Forecast and procure locally and on the spot market, optimizing and consolidating in line with regional logistics strategies and guidelines.
• Performance Monitoring: Monitor carrier performance, analyze service quality, and initiate corrective actions as needed.
• Project Management: Define and set up internal local rates in the system, manage costing for special transportation needs, and ensure smooth implementation of pricing strategies.
• Collaboration: Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to ensure alignment of pricing strategies and support business development.
• Reporting: Prepare and present reports on pricing, market trends, and performance to management.
Requirements:
• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
• Experience: 8-10 years of experience in ocean freight pricing or related roles within the freight forwarding, shipping, or logistics industry. Experience with multinational companies (MNCs) is preferred.
• Knowledge: Deep understanding of ocean freight products and pricing strategies.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Effective communication skills in English and Thai.
