Role Overview: The Pricing Analyst is responsible for managing complex and high-value quotations, supporting the development of the estimating function, and driving consistent estimating standards through a structured, shared-load operating model. To produce accurate, commercially competitive freight estimates across all transport modes.
Key Responsibilities
• Analyse market trends, competitor pricing, and customer requirements to support pricing decisions.
• Conduct pricing research and gather relevant data to identify pricing opportunities and risks.
• Monitor and evaluate pricing performance against targets and recommend adjustments as needed.
• Collaborate with the pricing team to develop and implement pricing strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Identify pricing trends and recommend adjustments to pricing structures to remain competitive in the market.
• Provide insights and recommendations on pricing strategies to drive revenue growth and profitability.
• Prepare and review pricing proposals and quotations based on customer requirements and pricing structures.
• Utilise pricing tools and systems to calculate costs, apply pricing rules, and determine pricing guidelines.
• Ensure accuracy and timeliness in preparing and submitting pricing proposals to customers.

• Respond to pricing inquiries from customer service representatives and communicate pricing changes, updates, and promotions.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure proper understanding and implementation of pricing strategies.

• Track pricing trends, customer preferences, and market dynamics to provide insights into pricing strategy adjustments.
• Assist in preparing pricing presentations and reports for management review.
Requirements
• Matric (essential); relevant Freight Forwarding or Supply Chain Management certifications are advantageous.
• 3–5 years of experience in a pricing role within the Clearing and Forwarding industry is non-negotiable.
• Proven experience in preparing estimates and quotations specifically for Project Cargo is essential.
• Strong knowledge of multiple modes of transport, including road, sea, and specialised cargo movements.
• Sound understanding and working knowledge of Incoterms is non-negotiable.
• Strong commercial and financial understanding.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and organisational skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to work accurately under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong stakeholder management abilities.
