Role Overview:
The Sales Manager is responsible for leading and managing the product sales function within the company. The job holder plays a key role in driving sales revenue, developing and executing sales strategies, building strong customer relationships, and managing a team of sales professionals.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement the overall sales strategy for the product’s services to achieve revenue targets and business objectives.
• Identify market opportunities and potential clients to expand the customer base.
• Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer demands to inform sales strategies and tactics.
• Set sales targets, create sales plans, and monitor progress against targets.
• Lead the identification and pursuit of new business opportunities, including key accounts and strategic partnerships.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key customers, industry stakeholders, and partners to drive business growth.
• Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging trends and opportunities in the ocean freight industry.
• Collaborate with internal teams to develop customized solutions that meet customer needs.
• Recruit, train, develop, and manage a high-performing sales team.
• Provide guidance, coaching, and performance feedback to the sales team members.
• Set individual sales targets, monitor performance, and provide regular sales reports to senior management.
• Foster a positive and motivating work environment that encourages teamwork and collaboration.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers to understand their needs and provide exceptional service.
• Identify customer pain points and develop solutions to address them.
• Conduct regular customer visits and business reviews to deepen relationships and identify upselling or cross-selling opportunities.
• Collaborate with other departments, such as operations and customer service, to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction.
• Track and analyze sales performance data, including revenue, market share, and customer acquisition.
• Prepare sales forecasts, and sales reports, and present them to senior management.
• Provide insights and recommendations to enhance sales performance and drive continuous improvement.
• Lead contract negotiations with customers to secure profitable business agreements.
• Develop pricing strategies and proposals based on market trends, competition, and cost considerations.
• Ensure compliance with pricing guidelines and company policies.

Requirements:
 • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Logistics, or a related field.
• 6-10 years of experience in Product sales, business development, or a similar leadership role within the logistics or freight forwarding industry.
• Strong knowledge of the Product’s services, industry trends, and market dynamics.
• Proficiency in English (written and verbal). Additional languages may be advantageous.
• Fluency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) and general internet navigation and research skills.
